Le Shuffle Step - A New Balboa Workshop this Labor Day Weekend featuring fabulous out-of-town Balboa instructors, Shani Brown & Jacob Wigger from San Diego and LA and Chris & Emma Farrell from Grass Valley.

Come check out what they have to offer and know that Shani has studied with many of the original Balboa dancers for multiple years. She is a wealth of knowledge and it is a rare treat to have her teaching a full day of classes. Come check out what all the fabulous instructors have to offer! You will not be disappointed!

Breaking news! We're combining forces with the Verdi Club to bring you an even more exciting, energetic, kick-a** Saturday evening dance party! The dance will move to their venue, hosted by A-town agency and Lindy Central. More info below! (The workshops will continue as planned at CCSF)

Instead of a little dance at CCSF, we are now taking our dance party over to the Verdi club for some live music and great dancing.

What does this mean for you?

You now have access to a bigger Saturday night dance, which is still included in your workshop package (those of you signed up for the day). If you were just coming to our dance, please join us now at the Verdi club for only $5 !! That's right, the dance is even cheaper now!!

Dance Details:

2 Live Bands (Slim Jenkins & Golden West Trio) - Battle of the Bands! 4 Alternating Sets of Live Music!
DJ Allen Kerr spinning Balboa swing tunes in between band sets
Beginner Lesson with Gary and Amanda at Verdi before the dance.
Dress to impress!!
Only $5 for dance-only attendees
If you've registered for the workshops, you will receive a message about this in your email. This dance is included in your registration.

Regular rates after August 1st:
August 2nd through August 25th = $75 / person
$85 at the door

Drop-ins on a first come, first served basis -if there is room. We will update information on whether or not you can drop-in depending on space.
Workshop Drop-ins = $20 / class / person

The goal though is to spend a day together learning, growing, improving, sweating, and sharing.
We would really like it if people could attend nearly all sessions in order to allow the instructors to really build with the students.

For the regular workshop, Inter/Adv dancers should fit the meet the following criteria:
~ Social Dance BALBOA on a regular basis and not just one song every now and then.
~ understand and be competent at the following: up-hold, down-hold (basics), triple bal, toss-outs or throw-outs, basic turns, cross-overs, out & in technique, swivels, paddles, paddle turns, be comfortable dancing pure bal and bal-swing, lollies, basic ad-lib steps, basic musicality

DIRECTIONS & PARKING:

We will be on the third level and there is parking behind the gym building if you turn off of Ocean Ave and drive around the building. There are also 2 large parking lots down to the right of the building once you pull into the gym facility. You can see the facility from Ocean Ave. (Don’t go to the campus main entrance on Phelan. You won’t find us there!!!)

REFUNDS:

Refunds will be given up until August 1st and then it is transfers after that.
If you transfer your ticket, please be sure you have the new registrant register and make a note of the transfer, as in who they are buying the ticket or receiving the transfer from.
